Martha Speck Treadaway, age 83, of Lexa, Arkansas passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Kingwood,Texas. Mrs. Treadaway was born June 11, 1933 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Cecil and Elois Speck. She was a longtime member of West Helena Baptist Church and she worked as a homemaker, excelling at everything she did: She was a wonderful mother, sewer, accountant and when she had time, craft maker.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Julian Treadaway; two daughters, Gwen Pabst (Richard) of Crosby, Texas and Patti Walls (Gayle) of Cleveland, Mississippi; granddaughter, Melanie Parkinson (Justin) of Crosby; and three great-grandchildren, Emma, Luke and Huck Parkinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Julian Treadaway, Jr.; brother, Don Speck; and sister, Ruth Speck.
A service for Martha Treadaway will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at West Helena Baptist Church. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Burial will be at Central Cemetery in Lexa, Arkansas. Reverend David Crouch will officiate.
Pallbearers will be the men of Watt Moore Sunday School Class at West Helena Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to West Helena Baptist Church or to the American Lung Association.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.
Gwen, Patti, and Mr Treadaway, heartbroken to hear of your loss. Mrs. Treadaway was one of the finest Christian ladies I've ever known. You're entire family will be in my prayers.

Julian, I am so sorry to hear of Martha's passing. She was such a pleasure to be with. My Mom loved her very much. Someone told me when Dottie graduated into heaven to treasure the memories we had together because no one can take them from you.
