Lowell E. Waldrip, age 77, of Benton, Arkansas passed from this life Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House in Bryant, Arkansas.

Lowell was born January 25, 1939 in Moro, Lee County, Arkansas to Lester Eugene and Maxine Minner Waldrip. He attended Moro schools and graduated from T. A. Futrall High School, Marianna in 1957.

Lowell married Elizabeth Crum June 2, 1962 in Harrison, Arkansas. Three children were born to this union. Lowell was involved with the family farm in Lee county until his health forced early retirement. He was a long-time member of Moro Baptist Church and later First Baptist Church of Forrest City. He and Elizabeth moved to Benton in 2004 to be near their daughter and her family.

Lowell was a Master Mason of Lafayette Lodge #189 of West Helena, Arkansas. He was also a member of the York Body of West Memphis, Arkansas, and a 32nd Degree Mason of Eastern Arkansas Scottish Rite of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Orient of Arkansas Valley.

Lowell was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Fred Waldrip. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth, of the home; a son, Danny Waldrip, of Benton; a daughter, Janet Walker (Steven) of Benton; two grandchildren, Stuart Walker and Bethany Walker of Benton; his brother, Mark Waldrip (Angela) of Moro; step-brothers, Bill Gordon (Mary) of Benton and Glenn Gordon (Vida) of Stuttgart; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047).

Visitation at Marianna will be at 2:00 p.m. (one hour prior to service) at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home.

Funeral services with full Masonic burial rites are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Roller-Citizens in Marianna, Arkansas with Bro. Grant Medford officiating. Interment will follow at Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna. Serving as pallbearers will be John Shrewsbury, Rusty Crump, Holly Hickman, David Gordon, Carl Long, Kenny Long, and Lanard Walker.

Janet & Elizabeth, I am so sorry to read of Lowell's passing. We know we will see him again and he is in God's presence with no suffering. I remember telling people when my Papa' died that "I now have stock in Heaven." May you find God's peace through this time of grief. Love you all!
