Athene Berry, 91, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on October 6, 2016 in Clinton, Arkansas. Athene was born on February 10, 1925 in Turkey Creek, Arkansas to the late Leland and Edna (Cummings) Branscum. Athene was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith and will be truly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Athene is survived by one daughter, Pam Hooten and husband Terry; one daughter-in-law, In Tuk Berry; six grandchildren, Dena Grover, Tracy Wofford, Crystal McElroy, Dustin Hooten, Chris Hooten, and Kirk Hooten; six great-grandchildren, Casey Hooten, Jayde McElroy, Jasmine McElroy, West Hooten, Sonny Hooten, and Anna Hooten.
Athene was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Edna (Cummings) Branscum; husband, Albert Berry; one son, Troy Berry; two sisters, Bearl Callahan and Hazel Malloy, and two brothers, Oris Branscum and Troy Oran Branscum.
A visitation will take place on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 1-2PM at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00PM also at Roller Coffman Chapel with Brother Bobby Ward officiating. Interment will be at Fox Cemetery in Fox, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Terry Hooten, Dustin Hooten, Casey Hooten, Brian Livingston, Mark Wofford, and Vaughn Henson

Granny, we laid you to rest today and it was the hardest thing i could go through, you looked so peaceful. i miss you so much and i'll see you very soon, don't have to much fun up there with God partying. i know he's glad you arrived. i love you.
