Floyd DeJarnatte, age 101, of Poplar Grove, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at his home. Mr. DeJarnatte was born July 16, 1915 at Kansas City , Kansas to the late George and Lena DeJarnatte. He was a retired farmer, a member of Elizabeth Primitive Baptist Church, and a veteran from the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife of almost 38 years, Dorotha Rowland DeJarnatte; son, Robert Davis of Hazen; two daughters, Delores Jackson and Patricia Monroe, both of Marvell; eight grandchildren, Brian Bartlett, Billy B. DeJarnatte, Pam Wildschuetz, Gary DeJarnatte; Miranda Lovell, Shauna Wewe, Trey Davis and Wendi Speer; twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph DeJarnatte of Alabama; other family and friends and church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Billy DeJarnatte; and his first wife, Bessie.
A graveside service for Floyd DeJarnatte will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Elder James Isaac and Elder Bobby McWhirter will officiate.
