Sherrill D. Sowell, 78, of Center Ridge was born May 31, 1938 in Center Ridge, Arkansas to the late Jesse and Myrtle (Barnes) Sowell and passed from this life September 15, 2016 at his home. He was a life-time member and deacon of Pleasant Hill General Baptist Church and was a barber for over 50 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of over half a century, Addie, two nieces; Addie Louise Sterling and Marjene Goss and one great niece, Brianna Michelle Jones.
Left to cherish his memory are many nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at 10:00am on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Halbrook Cemetery in Austin, Arkansas.

Mr. Sowell was my barber when I was in the ROTC program at UCA. I always enjoyed going to his shop and visiting with him. He was a fine man.
