Dewey Toll, age 90, of Hazen, Arkansas passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 at Carlisle. Mr. Toll was born January 3, 1926 at Tollville, Arkansas to the late Dewey and Nellie Toll, Sr. He was a member of Pepper Lake Church of Christ and retired from Mohawk Rubber and Tire Company. Mr. Toll served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was stationed in Pearl Harbor when the U.S. Pacific Fleet was attacked by the Japanese on December 7, 1941.
He is survived by two sons, Dennis Toll (Laurie) of Hazen and Billy Joe Toll of DeValls Bluff; four daughters, Bonnie Davis of DeValls Bluff, Johnnie Gabbard (Calvin) of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Pansy Jones of Southaven, Mississippi and Judy Travis of West Helena; 21 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Teresa Wiggins of West Helena; two sisters, Markoleta Black (Arnold) of Hazen and Gladys Hatfield of DeValls Bluff; and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
Mr. Toll was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Crosser Toll; daughter, Gail Penner; son, Donald Wiggins; and granddaughter, Mary Jo Reeves.
Visitation for Dewey Toll will be from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2016 at Twin City Church of Christ. The service will be at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Brother Dennis Toll, Jr. and Brother Curtis Pettie will officiate.
Pallbearers are Phillip Toll, John Cameron Davis, Robbie Travis, Donny Wiggins, Kevin Ivy, Monty Wiggins, Bryan Wiggins and Dustin Wiggins.
