Bobby D. Bush of Greenbrier, Arkansas passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 26, 2016 in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Bobby was born on October 2, 1938 in Conway, Arkansas to Homer Eugene and Emma Edith Patrick Bush.
In 1961, Bob started working for the USDA Soil Conservation Service as a Civil Engineering Technician working watershed. In 1974 Bob graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. At that time he was promoted to an Economist retiring in 1994. After retiring Bob started working for Greenbrier City Event Center retiring after 11 years of service. In June 2016 he was recognized for his outstanding service and continued support of the City Event Center. Bob was also a veteran of the United States Army and Army Reserves.
Bobby was predeceased in death by parents Homer and Edith Bush and son Vance Griffin. He was survived by his wife Kay, one sister Joann Breeding of Springdale, Arkansas and three sons; Douglas Bush, wife Sonya and their two sons Justin and Brandon Nichols of Beebe, Arkansas. Stephen Bush and his children Whitney, Tyler and Stephanie Bush, all of Greenbrier. Kenny Griffin and his wife Loyce and their three children Kimberly Hagar, Phillip and Adam and great grandchildren, Breck, Keaton, Connor, Cayden and Addison. Also two nephews, Brian and Brant Breeding.
Both Visitation and funeral will be at Life Song Baptist Church in Greenbrier, Arkansas on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. with funeral immediately following with Brother Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Randy King, Bob Crane, David Austin, Will Bradford, Jimmy Rietzke, Derek Phillips and honorary pallbearers, Gene Sullivan and George Dahlke.
