After Sanford's death, Bonnie met and married Henry Hurst while she worked at UCA. She worked in the cafeteria there for 17 1/2 years. She was a loving and caring lady as she cared for her parents and her sister Hazel when she had breast cancer. Bonnie always enjoyed having her grandchildren come and stay with her in the summer. She was a member of Sunny Gap Baptist Church in Conway.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; two sisters, Mildred Pauline Williams, Hazel Irene Cossey; three brothers, Leonard Raymond Rains, Leon Raymond Rains, Jerome Clarence ''JC'' Rains; stepchildren, Chloa Henson and Danny Joe Hurst.

To Leslie and her family that have lost a wonderful family member. I feel like I knew her just from the stories and pictures that Leslie shared with us. I know she will be missed, but it's great that you made some many memories with her. Those memories will last forever. May God provide you with comfort.

I never got the privilege to meet this wonderful lady but, I've heard so many nice stories about her. She will be missed by all. Leslie talked about her all the time and took such good care of her. Leslie, you are a special person and were so sweet to do what you did for Grandma Bonnie and always included your children in your visits to her. She was very lucky to have such a great family! We love you and are praying for you.

I did not personally know Grandma Bonnie except from the stories I would hear from Leslie(and some were very fun stories). Sounds like I missed meeting a wonderful lady. I know your hearts are sad today but cherish the memories you have of this sweet lady. Your family is in my prayers today and the weeks ahead. Leslie, KNOW that you did your part to make her world a special place. You honored her and God will give you something extra special for doing so when we meet HIM one day. Love ya!

I will miss my Great Aunt Bonnie so much! I had the pleasure of also being one of her caregivers at heritage. She always ask me if I remembered chasing them little kittens at her house when I was little. Aunt Bonnie was a pistol and I loved her so much! I hope she can give my great grandpa hugs and kisses for me in heaven along with my grandpa Leonard!! Fly high sweet Angel. I love you

My thoughts and prayers are with the family in deepest sympathy. I always enjoyed visiting Ms Bonnie at the nursing home. She shared a room with my sister-in-law. We will miss her.

A Tribute to my sister, Bonnie,
You were one of a kind. You wore MANY hats. You were a Daddy's girl who followed his heels, helping with plowing, chopping and picking cotton and all the other fun chores of living on the farm. You took Mom and Dad into your home and cared for them, you were a wonderful caregiver to John's Dad, Sanford, and an equally great caregiver to Henry. You helped care for Hazel, You wept at the graves of our brothers. No matter how far away they were - you were there. You were a great Mom and Grandma Bonnie to your grandkids. You were a loyal friend to many and a wonderful sister. You will be greatly missed. Have fun dancing with the angels. Your chains are gone, you've been set free. Rest in peace my sister. You are loved.
