Doris Neighbors Farris, 84, of Heber Springs, Arkansas (Formally of Marianna) passed away Friday, August 12, 2016. She was born Saturday, September 19, 1931 to James Clifford and Rubye Irene Herron Neighbors in Westor, Arkansas.
Doris is survived by one son, Bill Farris (Dianne), of Heber Springs, Arkansas; two daughters, Janice Sansing, of Grenada, Mississippi; Lynn Farris, Batesville, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Patsy Carlow (Chris), of Marianna, Arkansas; two brothers, Bill Neighbors (Ann), of Marianna, Arkansas; Don Neighbors (Jean), of West Helena, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Kyle Farris.
Services for Mrs. Farris will be held Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Patsy so sad to learn about Ms Doris, I will never forget how she campaigned for me way back in 2004. She was a special person. She used to come and visit me and others at Courthouse. Prayers for you.

We've known and loved Doris since she moved to the Villas in Southridge. Her love of the Lord, her family and her friends was evidenced in everything she said and did. Such a good cook; her pecan pies and tarts were to die for! We shall miss our friend, neighbor, Sister in Christ, Doris Farris. Such a blessed woman.

Mrs. Farris was a sweet lady. I never saw her without that beautiful smile and she always had kind words to say. I am very sorry to hear of her passing. My prayers are with her sweet family.

I was so sorry to hear of Doris' passing. I worked with her at DHS in Marianna in the late 70s when I was fresh out of college. We used to go to lunch at KFC every Friday. She was a great lady!!
