Lois Lucille Chastain-Hilton, 100, was born to the late Robert W. and Stella (Christian) Reutzel on December 15, 1915 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and passed from this life on August 11, 2016 in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas.
Lucille faced many challenges in her 100 years, but rose to meet each one with faith and optimism. She was a hair-dresser in her early years after high school and later retired as a bank teller for 32 years with Simmons Bank. Lucille was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma at the time of her passing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Orville Chastain, her second hushand, John D. Hilton, five brothers; Willard Reutzel, Lester Reutzel, Glen Reutzel, Eugene Reutzel, and Charles Reutzel, one sister, Mary Tucker, one neice, Donna Reutzel and two nephews, Eugene Reutzel and Richard Reutzel.
Left to cherish her memory are her niece and caregiver, Peggy Camper, three nephews, Gary Reutzel, Barry Reutzel and Timothy Tucker, two nieces, Sharon Vessels and Sandy Olsen, other relatives and many friends.
She was cared for and loved by many at Indian Rock Village in Fairfield Bay and will be missed for her beautiful smile and kind heart. A memorial service in her honor will be announced at a later time.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas.
