Billy Bonner King, Jr., age 88, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. King was born March 31, 1928 at Trenton, Arkansas to the late Billy and Bernice King. He was a former firefighter and a director of pupil transportation for the Helena-West Helena School District. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Helena and the American Legion of Helena.
He is survived by two children, Billy ''Bo'' King, III (Pam) of Helena and Tammy King-Leifer (Jay) of Beebe; three grandchildren, James ''Jimbo'' Doyle, Jr., Madison Richmond (Case) and Wyatt King; nephew, Brian King; niece, Kelly Byrd; and special family member, Billie Brocato.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann King; and two brothers, Roy King and Kinny King.
A service for Billy King will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Brother Cliff Bernard will officiate.
Pallbearers are Billy Ray Brocato, Chris Brocato, Ken Woods, Carl Williams, Jack Viner and Ed Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Brian King, Jimbo Doyle, Sam King and Wyatt King. The family also wishes to recognize two additional honorary pallbearers in loving memory of Joel Scaife and ''Rudder'' Williams.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.
