June 19, 2016

Thomas H. Hazel, 94, passed from this life on June 19th, 2016 in Conway, Arkansas.
He was born November 25, in Faulkner County Arkansas to Claud W. and Bessie (Parker) Hazel.
He was married to Helen Benton Hazel and resided on Scenic Road in North Little Rock during their marriage.
Upon her death, he moved to Conway to be close to his siblings.
The last few years of his life was enjoyed by fishing alongside his brother and sister
and at the end of the day they like to compare to see who had put the ''jerk'' on the most crappie along with the biggest.
Fishing is something his family has been always noted for doing, from Bessie and Claud and their children, grandkids,
and even great grandkids. He was a veteran of World War Two.
His time on this earth allowed him to be blessed in knowing so many people from all walks of life.
It was always a pleasure to see the smile on his face and that will be missed by family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen Benton Hazel; sister, Jetta Lou Keathley, Wilidean Palmer.
He is survived by brother, Claude ''Sodie'' Hazel (Erma); sisters, Betty Hightower (Charlie), Greta Mitchell (Hardy);
along with many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be at 2:00, Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Crestlawn in Conway, Arkansas.

We were friends from the time we were at Amboy Baptist. He and Bud Lackie graciously built a concrete basketball court for our son in our backyard! He was always a joy to be around!
Our loss will be heavens gain!

To The Family:

We will miss Tom dearly. He has been such a dear friend to me and cousin to my wife Elizabeth. There will never be another Tom Hazel. He was a very caring and compassionate person. He always brightened up our day when we could go and visit him. Our hearts are broken over this loss in our lives. We loved Tom.
