Billy Ray Sampley, 73 of Hartman, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 in Oklahoma City. Mr. Sampley was born May 11, 1943 in Paris to Mr. Harley and Maggie (Mayfield) Sampley. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his grandkids play for the Lamar Warriors. Mr. Sampley was preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild, Brooks Owen Sampley, and one niece, Debbie Sampley.
Mr. Sampley is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Owens Sampley; three sons, Brett and Kim Sampley of Knoxville, Brandon and Kristie Sampley of Bentonville, and Darren and Tina Masterson of Clarksville; one brother, Harley Faye and Beverly Sampley of Springfield, MO.; seven grandchildren, David Sampley, Jenna Sampley, Braxton Sampley, Chandra Masterson, Kyndrae Masterson, Kailyn Cox, and Morgan Cox; three great-grandchildren; niece, Lisa Sampley, and a large host of friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 '''' 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be graveside, 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Hartman Cemetery with Bro. Richard Snyder officiation. Pallbearers will be Jay Holland, Lance Spence, Aaron Hurt, Jackie Dobbins, Ronnie Sampley, and Larry Roberts.
