Derrick Adler Hammond, age 8, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 in Mountain Home, Arkansas

Derrick was born March 30, 2008 to Scott Charles Hammond and the late Angela Rae Heard in Little Rock, Arkansas. Derrick loved to run and play. He liked to say ''Go fast! Go fast!'' He enjoyed watering the plants in the yard and helping his dad get ready to go on fire calls.

Derrick is survived by his father;

his brothers: Damian Scott Hammond of Yellville, Arkansas; John Messer of Iowa;

sisters: Kaitlin Shamae Hammond; and Leslie Renee Rogers;

his maternal grandparents Richard and Pauline Heard;

and paternal grandparents Michael and Beverly Wood.

Derrick was preceded in death by his mother, Angela Heard in 2012.

A Memorial service will be held at Church on the Rock in Yellville, Arkansas on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 6:00 pm.

Arrangements are by Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.
