Lona Rowlett, age 97, went to her Heavenly home, Wednesday, April 13, 201, at Mount Vista Nursing in Harrison. She was born December 9, 1918, in Harrison, to Loren and Annie (Daniel) Hudson.
Mrs. Rowlett was a member of Union Baptist Church and former member of Centerton Baptist Church. She loved to teach vacation Bible school every summer and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles.
Lona is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, I.W. and Marie Hudson of Harrison; three nieces, Janith Blackwell of Houston, Texas, Joetta (Steve) Shaffer of Wichita, Kansas and Shirley (Steve) Storms of Tacoma, Washington; a nephew, Bill (Tracy) Rowlett of Russellville; three cousins, Sandra (Glenn) Holly of Harrison, Shirley (Jerry) Young of Desoto, Missouri and Ken (Barbara) Hudson of Yakima, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Frank Rowlett.
Funeral service was Monday, April 18, 2016, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Brother Jimmy Dale Huskey and Mathew Rose officiating. Interment followed in Benton County Memorial Gardens in Rogers, Arkansas. Visitation was Sunday at the funeral home.

I was saddened to hear of Lonas passing but then I remembered she loved the Lord and my heart is glad that she is in Heaven and rejoicing with the Lord she lived her life here on earth for. She shared the same birthday as my daughter Anna and would always send her a birthday card every year. My whole family loved her more than just the distant cousins we were.
