Ruth Kay Lytle, 76, of Batesville, died Friday, April 8, 2016 at a local nursing home.
She was born in Batesville, Arkansas on February 2, 1940 to John A. and Ora Ophelia (Stewart) Lytle. She was a high school teacher and a member of the Central Avenue United Methodist Church.
Kay enjoyed music and art, riding four-wheelers, and loved the Arkansas Razorbacks. She also loved her cows and had names for each one of them.
Kay is survived by her brother, Dr. Jim Lytle and wife, Alice, of Batesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Imogene Abernathy, Evelyn Cooper, Mildred Townsend, and Kathleen Mathews; and two brothers, David Lynn Lytle and John A. Lytle Jr.
Pallbearers will be John Townsend, Dr. John O. Lytle, Jim Cooper, Booker Lytle, and Joe Lytle. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Mark Williams and the Central Avenue United Methodist Church Choir.
The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016, at the Central Avenue United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Seay officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the funeral home.

I will always have memories of Kay being out in the fields with the cattle & her dogs.
Loved going to Spring Mill & having Papaw Claud & Grandma Una Lee Duncan tell me stories.
