June 3, 1927 - March 16, 2016
On March 16, 2016, Billy L. Ford, 88, resident of Vilonia passed away in death and is awaiting a resurrection.
Billy is survived by Laura Ford his wife of 71 years and three daughters: Beverly Kinley (Darrell), Rhonda Salgado, and Dorcas Votel (Donald); eight grandchildren: Rebecca Kinley, Teresa Lester, Kelly Kinley, Toby Salgado, Jason Salgado, Nathan Salgado, Nicole Salgado and Ginger Salgado; eight great-grandchildren; siblings Ben Ford (Joann), Donna Gorton, and Gary Ford; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
is my older brother. He was about 18 years old when I was born. He became a father the first time 6 weeks after I was born. He always felt like he was more than a Brother to me because his daughter and I were so close in age.
Billy had a strict compass for right and wrong so when he dedicated his life to Jehovah it was his goal to never disappoint his Heavenly Father. I believe he succeeded.
I am sorry he suffered so much in his last 2 years because of a terrible stroke. Poor Billy truly suffered the last 10 days of his life. I prayed for Jehovah to relieve his pain constantly. He was a truly amazing servant of Jehovah.
Billy is at peace and sleeping as are our parents and 5 nephews.
I look forward to the time when they will be raised back to life by Jesus with the authority Jehovah has granted to His Son.
I remember once we were out in service together and came upon a door with loud rock music playing and Billy knew I was nervous going door to door. So what did he do to relax me? He started dancing just like the governor from O Brother. I instantly was relaxed and had a big smile on my face. I never expected to see him do this and I smile ever time I think of this memory with him.
Billy lived a long life. Look forward to seeing him in Paradise. John 5:28,29
