Neta (Fern) Adams-of Harrison went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 4, 2016, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.
The daughter of Reverend Coy and Verla (Roberts) Widner was born on January 21, 1948, in Harrison. She was a lifelong resident of Boone County. For many years she taught Sunday School for the primary grades and served as church secretary for 21 years, Fern was a charter member of Miracle Lighthouse Church, where she and her husband have pastored for the past fourteen years. June 13, 2009, she earned her Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree from the Midwest College of Theology. Fern and Arvin have promoted southern gospel concerts at their home, Beacon Park, for many years. For 39 years Fern sang with the Lighthouse Messengers.
Fern was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Arvin Adams, daughters Wrinda Adams and Mylinda Adams, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday at Miracle Lighthouse Church. The celebration of life service was Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Miracle Lighthouse Church with Rev. Billy Rogers officiating.
Burial was in Gass Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Beacon Park Productions.
Fern's expectation is to see every one again on Heaven's Bright Shore.
