Jimie Kertis Johnson, 77, of Timbo, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Kertis was born on May 29, 1938 to the late Willis and Argie (Goodman) Johnson in Timbo, Arkansas. Kertis served his country for over 20 years until he retired from the United States Air Force; among being a retired veteran Kertis was a farmer, bus driver and a member of Blue Mountain Baptist Church. His family will remember him as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Kertis is survived by his loving wife, Judy (Shannon) Johnson; one son, Keith Johnson and wife Sherry of Onia, Arkansas; Karen Baugh of Greenbrier, Arkansas and Terry Davis and husband Neal of Conway, Arkansas; one brother, Dwight Johnson and wife Kay; five grandchildren, Ryan Baugh and wife Katie, Jeff Baugh, Brady Johnson and wife Jennifer, Luke Johnson, and Brian Davis; two great-grandchildren, Marin Baugh and Parker Johnson along with many extended family and friends.

Kertis was preceded in death by his parents Willis and Angie (Goodman) Johnson; one brother, Oyd Johnson; and three sisters, Anita Johnson, Odeline Ivy, and Diana Price.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 20, 2016, from 12:30-2:00PM at Blue Mountain Baptist Church in Timbo, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00PM with Brother Junior Barham and Brother Daryl Pitts officiating. Interment will be at Blue Mountain Cemetery in Timbo, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Ryan Baugh, Jeff Baugh, Brady Johnson, Luke Johnson, Brian Davis, and Mark Broyles.

Roller Coffman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements

Our hearts are sadden for your loss but glad for Kertis wonderful home he has now in heaven. He is such a wonderful Christian man to be an example for us all. May we join in praises for a better home above. We give our love and our prayers for comfort for all the family and wish we could be there for the family.
