I worked for Dene for many years at Lake Norfork Marina . He could cook a mean tri tip sandwich , always playing tricks on me , and treated me as his own . Rest in peace my friend and Thanks for the memories .

I remember Dene as long as I can remember. Probably about 1940. Our families were always neighbors. We spent time together when we were small. Not so much in school as he was a couple years ahead of me. He was a great Quarterback and a really nice guy. Life separated us for many years, but I had the pleasure of several visits with him the last 4 years. Physically he had changed, but otherwise he was always the same old Dene. He will be missed by many. RIP old friend. Clinton Pittaway

Dene and I have been friends for more than 70 years and I have many pleasant memories of our time in Mountain Home, California and back to Mountain Home.. Many people will not remember, but Dene was one of the best athletes who ever played for the Bombers and I had the pleasure of being a teammate of his in the early 50's. To sum it up, Dene was really "Somebody". It was a real privilege to have been his friend.

One of my best friends is gone. Dene and I began the first grade together in Mtn. Home and graduated together in 1955. We attended the Univ. of Arkansas together, roomed together for three years, graduated, then drove across country together to Santa Barbara, California. We remained close friends even though later I moved to Los Angeles.

Dene was honest, faithful, a very hard worker, and one could always count on him for help if needed. I shall never forget all our good times and escapades together.

So long, old friend.

Bill..

Dene and I were friends for many years starting with grade school and through high school .Our paths were separated for an equal number of years until the last few years when we reconnected and had occasional enjoyable visits. Dene was a hard worker and had many hard earned accomplishments. He will be missed.
