My condolences to the family. Mrs. Lee was loved by many.
Like so many others my start in HS rodeo in the early 60s was entwined with memories of Kris and Roy. They broke the mold when they made her but the values she embodied will live on. Thoughts and prayers for all the family. You were just tiny when I was around Mt. Vernon and can only imagine the void her passing has left. Even though it's been years since I last saw her, I was blessed to know her.

Many years ago when first meeting Kris, I thought she was too harsh, brassy, sassy, but one tough cookie. Over the years thru many conversations, she became a friend and one I became to respect. She so loved her family & would fight a bear, if one threaten them. She shared her backyard with all of us every Saturday night at the arena, that became an icon for every little girl & boy to live their cowboy dream.
Thank you Kris for the memories, the friendship, and sharing your life with all of us. We will mourn your death but My Friend, we'll also rejoice your life!! It was a "good ride on the hill," but a better one with Roy in heaven.
Prayers & love to the Lee Family! We all will miss her.
Joyce,Barbara, Jim, and families
I am sorry to hear of Miss Kris's passing. I can still see her sitting on the picnic table signing and "straightening" out bull riders. LOL She was a sweet lady and tough as nails. She will not be forgotten and will be missed. May God give you comfort and peace in the days and weeks to come. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I am so saddened to hear of your loss. Kris was a friend to everyone she met. Such a strong woman and loving mother. You can bet she is standing in awe of all heavens sights now..wishing we could all be there to see them too!!
Know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We love you.
