Florene was a lifelong resident of Lead Hill and near lifelong member of Bergman Church of Christ. She enjoyed mowing her yard, burning leaves, farm work, caring for her flower garden, quilting, singing and reading her Bible. She was a cook at Berman School and made an amazing chocolate pie that her grandchildren loved.

Ramsey; three daughters, Louise Honeycutt of Bergman, Jane Anderson of Lead Hill and Terry Villines of Lead Hill; two sisters, Jessie Creamer and Johnnie Sharp; two brothers, Argil and Tommy Curtis; 9 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family.

Visitation was an hour prior to the funeral service at Bergman Church of Christ. Funeral service was Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at Bergman Church of Christ, with Jon Hendrix officiating.

Interment was in York Cemetery.

I am sad to hear about Fkirene having finished her life journey.
We were classmates at Bergman high school and a welcome recipient of her friendship. Although we had not seen each other for years I often thought of her. She was a wonderful person. My best regards to her family.

I always credit Aunt Florene as being responsible for my being a member of the Church. As a youngster, I would bum rides from her to church until I was old enough to drive myself. She was a wonderful Christian example---and, now, she can rest in peace!
