December 24, 1930 - December 17, 2015

Anna Lois Edens, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015, one week shy of her 85th birthday.

She was born in Leachville, Arkansas on December 24, 1930, one of eight children, to a sharecropper family.

She later moved to Little Rock, where she married, became a mother of two daughters and was a homemaker for 61 years. She was a widow for the past 5 years.

She thoroughly enjoyed listening to Elvis music but the most important thing to her in her life was always her family. Above all was her faithfulness to the Lord. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marlin Conway Edens; her parents John J. and Lillie A. Shipp; one brother John U. Shipp; two sisters Oleda Shipp Tyree and Otheda Shipp Roe.

She is survived by two daughters, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren: daughter Marlanna Edens Connell, husband Mike; grandson Michael Connell, wife Stephanie and great-granddaughters Lindsay and Abby; daughter Tammy Edens Cypert, husband Brent; granddaughter Amanda Daws, husband Brandon; great-grandchildren Lillie, Braden and Jaxon; grandson Jaythan Johnson; granddaughter Tiffany and great-grandson Trevor.

Visitation, with the family, will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday night, December 21, 2015 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209 (501) 455-5800. Services will be at 1:00 p, m. Tuesday at Roller-Drummond conducted by Mr. Jerry Berry. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.

Pallbearers will be Jaythan Johnson, Michael Connell, Brandon Daws, Brent Cypert, Tom Johnston and Gary McCloughlin.

We would like to give a special heart felt thanks to Hospice Home Care who took such wonderful care of our Momma and of her two daughters in her final hours. Thank you for all the prayers from everyone. We felt each and every one.

Marlanna and Tammy, my heart and prayers are right there with you! I am so very blessed to have spent some time with your Mom as she was still lucid in the hospital, praying with her and singing to her and reassuring her, "Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you"! Also, I am so very blessed to have spent some time this evening with you both and reminiscing our wonderful times together as children along with our parents! You both are truly "our sisters" and Teresa, Kathy and Vickie love you and your family so much! May God's peace, love and comfort be with you now and in the coming months! Love from the White family!
