James Richard ''Jim'' Burleson, age 71, of Yellville, Arkansas entered into rest Thursday, November 26, 2015 at his residence.
He was born in northern Marion County, in the community of Monarch March 12, 1944 to the late Joseph M. Sr. and Agnes R. (Ritchey) Burleson.
He was united in marriage to Mary Bell (Weaver) on February 1, 1963. Prior to retirement Jim was a commercial truck driver. He enjoyed his family, friends, horses and hunting. He was a member of the Wine-O-flats hunting club. Jim was a Baptist by faith.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife, Mary Bell Burleson of the home;
daughters: Rhonda (Jerry Killabrew) Smith of Yellville; Vickie (Randy) Moses of Yellville; Karla (Rod) Ward of Yellville; and Shannon (Loye) Hellums of Yellville;
his sister Kay Doshier of Yellville;
nine grandchildren;
and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Rex, Carl, Burpee, Russell, Barry and Jr.;
and sisters: Florene and Ellen.
Visitation will be held at Burns Funeral Home Sunday, November 29 from 6:30 to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service will be at Burns Funeral Home chapel at 11:00 am Monday with Fred Goodall officiating.
Interment will follow at the Keesee Cemetery.
