Stephen Carl Hoopes, 75 of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in Paris. He was born on January 1, 1940 in Riverside, California to his parents Darrell and Hazel (Bryant) Hoopes. He was a heavy equipment operator for Koonze Construction for many years and attended the Assembly of God Church in Paris.

Stephen was a loving and caring father and companion who loved gardening and working with his flowers. He also loved fishing, camping, hunting, woodworking and was always a very Godly man.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Hazel (Bryant) Hoopes.

He is survived by his three daughters, Gerldine Fox and husband Brian of Manchester, Tennessee, Shelley Hamilton and husband Dennis of Blythe, California and Shanna Hoopes of Boise, Idaho; one son, Stephen Wayne Hoopes and wife JoAnna of Paris, Arkansas; his loving companion for twenty seven years, Lahoma Swinnerton Hoopes of Paris, Arkansas; his first wife Dixie Lokoen of Paris, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and his dog Muggs.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
