John, I was in Mountain Home 8 or 9 years ago visiting an old Latvian friend who has since passed away. He told me your mother regularly visited to see how he was doing.
I remember your entire family well from Indy days including our trip to Boundary Waters. I will make it to the memorial service to see you if possible.
Vieglas smiltis.

Mom (Sue) and I are going to miss Vera. They became great friends in Good Sam. I loved to her about her life and the duck stories. Our sincere sympathy to the family.

A special thanks to John for his last visit to Mom.

I knew Vera quite well from her years of feeding the ducks and walking at the park. She was such a precious lady and I always enjoyed visiting with her. Also went to visit her in her home after she could no longer feed the ducks.
I am the current "duck lady" and know she would enjoy the present flock we have, which includes one goose that someone dumped off there.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of your mother. She was such a sweet lady. Vera and my mother, Agnes Lauritzen, were such dear friends and neighbors. Her door was always open to me when I would stop by. You will be in my prayers.
