I just heard the news. I cant believe she is gone. I feel so blessed to have had her as my 9th grade English teacher. She was my favorite teacher. I am so glad to have known her again in this last few years. I will always have my love of "To Kill a Mockingbird" and the song "New Orleans Ladies" thanks to her. You will forever live in y memories and my heart.
My Darling Kay, I can't believe your gone. Please rest in peace and forgive me for not being able to meet at Wendy's in Conway. I always loved you like a sister and we've been friends since we were little. Be good Mon Cherie and don't give God hard time...LOL.... Love you Forever and until we see each other again... Forever my B. F. F.
I cannot even begin to say how much I will miss you, my oldest and dearest friend. You were the smartest, funniest person I ever knew with such a big heart, beautiful spirit and wicked sense of humor. I cherished our long letters and phone conversations that over the years turned into emails and texts. Most of all I will miss your laugh. I know you are at peace now, painless and in the loving arms of those who went before you. I find some amount of comfort in that and I hope your loved ones left behind do as well. I know your family meant everything to you. Goodbye for now.
I am so sorry to hear of Kay's passing. I will always remember her sweet smile.
My deepest sympathies to all of her family.
Willa and family, I am so surprised and sorry to hear of Kay's passing. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I know the heartbreak of losing a child; faith and time will help to ease the pain.
With love, Ann
Praying for the family. May God heal the broken hearts.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Kay will definitely be missed by many!
Ms Voyles was one of our favorite teachers. She will be missed!
English...I believe we were Kay's first students, and she was on fire as a teacher, trying to make each of us feel special, and making learning fun while doing so, too. We had a ball in Kay's class! Meeting after graduation always made you feel special, for her affection was genuine for each of us. She was a great example for all teachers to follow! May God richly bless you, family, in the difficult days to come.
I feel blessed to have taught with Kay at MVHS. She was fun, a free spirit, proud of her students and one of the most humorous people I've ever met. She was a giving person. In conversation, I mentioned liking a picture one day so she purchased and framed it. It appeared in my office a few days later. She made many coworkers an etched artwork and took the care to mail those to each of us after she retired. I'm thankful for her friendship.
Kay was a wonderfully fun person. I enjoyed being on the faculty with her for fifteen years. I know she will be greatly missed, not only for her personality, but also for her dedication to her students.
Such an inspiration to so many young minds. I hope to be half the teacher you were. Thank you for your example to all of us. You will be missed.
I learned so much from you . My talents grew because you taught me well . I will continue to write songs and spread my wings and fly. I will see you again someday . Say hi to my Dad . I know he is always watching over me and now you will be too. You will be missed.
Kay was a sweet person and a wonderful teacher. It was easy to see that she loved teaching and she loved her students. She will be missed by so many here in Mountain View.

What a wonderful Teacher! My favorite memory was when she had our English class listen to the song, "Cats in the Cradle". I've loved that song since. Prayers for her family and friends. I'm Blessed to have had her in my life.
Our ninth grade class was the first that Kay had taught. She was a wonderful teacher and became a very good friend. She was always there when I needed someone to listen and gave very good advice. I had the privilege of attending church with her for the past year or so. She loved the Lord very much. I will miss my friend, but I know that one day I will see her again. My prayers go out to her family who have always treated me as family.

She was the most amazing teacher I've ever had. One of the only teachers that took the time to understand me and my way of learning. The world is definitely a lot duller without her beautiful smile.

Kay was a very well liked teacher to a lot of students. All three of my children had her in English and enjoyed their classes. She will be missed by many.
I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers go out to the family. I drove by her old house today. That old white house with the vines growing up the side just didn't seem the same. She impacted so many young adults. Including his mine. She will be forever loved and miss by many of her students.

She was an amazing teacher and person.
Mary Kay Voyles came into my life when I was 16-17 and she was 22. She was so full of life, knowledge, and a joy that at times was life preserving for her students, myself included. Kay made us feel interested in words, in learning, and she was interested in us as people, not just as her students. I will be forever grateful to God for sending Kay into my life. I know that Kay will remain with us, will be forever interested in our lives, much like the heroine of "Our Town," the play she directed my Junior year at MVHS. My deepest condolences to Kay's much beloved family.
