of Moro, AR
March 20, 1954 - October 16, 2015
Russell ''Rusty'' Deon Northcutt of Moro, Arkansas passed away Friday morning, October 16, 2015 surrounded by his loved ones, at home.
He was born to Patricia and Billy Joe Northcutt, of Aubrey, on March 20th, 1954.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Joe Northcutt and Patricia Northcutt Hinkle, and step father, Charles Hinkle, three nephews, David Graham, Shane Mauldin and Hayden Mauldin, all of Aubrey. He leaves behind a wife of 40 years, Terrye, and 3 children Lindsay (Joseph) Norsworthy, Kisa (Mike) Horton, Zack (Samantha) Northcutt; 5 grandchildren Mikah Jo ''ChoCho'' and Knox ''Peanut'' Horton, Aubrey ''TeTot'' and Zellie ''Sas Cee'' Norsworthy and Harper ''Sister'' Northcutt. He leaves behind four siblings, Ronnie (Virginia) Northcutt, Randy (Janet) Northcutt, Roger (Eva) Northcutt, Patti Northcutt, one step-sister, Susan (Bruce) Yoder and a multitude of nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church.
Rusty was a life-long farmer in Lee County. He was an avid woodsman with a passion for hunting that he instilled and passed on to his children and grandchildren. His work ethic, patience, and nurturing character were incomparable; there weren't enough hours in the day, but he always found time for his family. He was a gifted athlete and instilled this love in his children. On any given afternoon he could be found shooting hoops, setting up sprint sessions to prove why his nickname was ''Lightning'', teaching water and snow skiing, and coaching pee wee basketball. He loved the Mississippi River and its sandbars, catfishin' and hoggin'. Rusty was a kid at heart with a love of M & Ms and watching TV ''TB'', enjoying John Wayne movies and Elvis Presley. No one could challenge Rusty on his knowledge of music; he knew the artist and their history. His musical knowledge ranged from Chopin to Tom Petty. Rusty was the best cook-a-man, not referring to recipes but instead instinct. As you can tell, Rusty had many natural abilities that he excelled at, which served as an inspiration to all that knew him.
Services will be held at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Marianna, Arkansas with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery in Moro, Arkansas. Memorials can be made to St. Andrews Catholic Church in Marianna, Arkansas.

I am so sorry to hear of Rusty's death. I wish I would have known, as I would have made every effort to be at his services. He was a groomsman in my wedding 43 years ago. We had a great childhood together and I have so many memories of him and me and the mischief we 'accidentally' came upon. RIP my dear friend.
