Wilsie "Leon" Wooten born November 19, 1931 in Rondo, Arkansas died August 26, 2015 at Regional One Health in Memphis, Tennessee.
Mr. Wooten is surviveded by his wife; Darlene Chase Wooten, one son; Mike Wooten (Barbara), of Heber Springs, Arkansas; one daughter; Renee Whaley (David), of Moon Lae, Mississippi; grandchildren; Jennifer King (Benji), of Poplar Grove, Arkansas; Rhonda Gross (Jon), of Parkin, Arkansas; Kenny Jones (Stephanie) of Southhaven, Mississippi; Great-grandchildren; Chasity Glenn, Wilsie R. Jones, Chloe Abbigayle Jones, Bo Jones II, two brothers; David Wooten (Judy) of Winchester, Kentucky; WJ Wooten, of Morrilton, Arkansas; one sister; Annie Dees, of Rondo, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Albert Robert Wooten and Gussie Burns Wooten; siblings; Mitty Yop, Christine Harding, Ruth Gist, Grover Wooten and Wilbur Wooten.
Mr. Wooten was loved by all in Rondo, Arkansas. He served in the United States Army in 1953-1956. He was a member of Rondo Baptist Church and a member of American Legion Post 5 in Marianna, Arkansas were he served as Chief Commander from 2003-2007. He was a avid Razorback fan, a loving father, brother and grandfather.
Services for Mr. Wooten will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Rondo Baptist Church, in Rondo, Arkansas at 2:00 P.M. with Brother Jimmie Casey officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Barton, Arkansas.
