Jimmy Dale Jackson, 68 years of age, of Jacksonville, passed away on July 14, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones. Jimmy was born on August 19, 1946 in Mountain Springs, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Claudie and Maydean Roberts Jackson. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Jayden Jackson and mother-in-law, Elsie Flowers. He was retired from the PCSSD and was a plumber. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was of the Baptist faith. Jimmy is survived by his wife of forty years, Jill; two sons, Dewayne (Darlene) Jackson of Jacksonville, Arkansas and Michael (Natalie) Jackson of Lonoke, Arkansas; his two most precious granddaughters, Kyndal and Dakota Jackson of Jacksonville, Arkansas; two grandsons, Kyle and Noah Peggs of Lonoke, Arkansas; his ''Little Buddy'', his great-grandson, Carson Andrew Jackson of Jacksonville, Arkansas; two brothers, Ray (Daisy) Jackson of Pangburn, Arkansas and Garry (Lavella) Jackson of Yukon, Oklahoma; one sister, Glenda (Ray) Malone of North Little Rock, Arkansas; one brother-in-law, Millard (Theresa) Flowers of Lonoke, Arkansas; sister-in-laws, Maxine Garringer of Lonoke, Arkansas, Mary (Bradley) Broyles of Collierville, Tennessee; Myrlene (Gary) Halsey of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Vicki Hickam of Jacksonville, Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. He will be missed so much by his family.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 17, 2015 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, AR 72116 (501-791-7400), with interment following at Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home. The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Ave., Little Rock, AR 72207.

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was an awesome man kind to everyone. I worked with Jim at PCSSD, and will miss him.

I haven't seen Uncle Jimmy in many years - but I always remember a sweet man - who enjoyed being around his nieces and nephews. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of grief.

So sorry for your loss. Jimmy will be missed. He always had a smile on his face and something silly to say. I'll miss seeing him
