Herman Devers, age 76, of Marianna, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Crestpark of Marianna. Herman was born December 18, 1938, to the late James Lois and Gladys Lee Jones Devers of Marianna, Arkansas.
Herman served in the National Guard and was a welder, and livestock dealer.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Elaine Devers of the home; one son, Michael R. Devers of Marianna, Arkansas; three sisters, Dorothy Pruitt of El Dorado, Arkansas, Becky Stokes of West Helena, Arkansas, and Betty Rose Turner of Dallas, Texas; four brothers, James ''Jim'' Devers of Red Field, Arkansas, George ''Nookie'' Devers of Bossier City, Louisiana, Russell Devers (Rosalyn) of Pryor, Oklahoma, John Devers of Piperton, Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service for Herman Devers will be held at 2:00p.m., Monday, June 8, 2015, at LaGrange Cemetery, LaGrange, Arkansas. Visitation will be Sunday evening, June 7, 2015, at 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena.
Pallbearers are Ricky Snowden, Chuck Hallman, Edwin George, Tony Malone, Robert Haggins, Jon Stortz and Jonathan Stortz. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. M.A. McDaniel, Buddy Grady, Bill Carnathan, Elvin George, Harold Huff, George Williamson and George Jimmy Brown.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

So sorry to hear this news. Herman and I have been friends for many year. We worked and did business together quite a bit. He will be greatly missed. Our prayers and sympathy for the family.

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of yet another great friend. Herman was always so good to my Dad Bud Wheeler as they fished and hunted together. My prayer is that the Lord will wrap His loving arms around each of you at this most difficult time of loss and give each of you the strength, comfort and peace that you need in the coming hours, days, weeks months and years. Our hearts are sadden for the going home of our dear Herman. knowing he was a soft spoken man and his calm nature will always stay in my heart. growing old with our kin folks is really hard to find words, except comfort them with knowing God gave us promise ! we shall be with them in the sweet by & bye. may the Good Lord speak peace to each grieving heart, mind, soul as Herman will be truly missed .

When ya'll would come to Momma & Daddy's at Snow Lake, before Michael was even born. Praying God will console you all as only he can.
