Robert Leroy Rapier Jr., 58 of Magazine, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in Fort Smith. He was born on December 17, 1956 in Scottsboro, Alabama to his parents Robert Leroy Rapier Sr. and Carolyn Joyce Grider. He was a retired chef and construction worker, was of the Baptist Faith, a United States Army Veteran of Vietnam and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Rapier Sr. and Carolyn Joyce Rapier and one son, James Robert Rapier.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kathy Lynn (Staples) Rapier of Magazine, a son, Thomas ''Benjamin'' Rapier of Aberdeen, Washington, one daughter, Jennifer Franklin and husband Shane of Magazine, Arkansas; two sisters, Patti Hazard and husband Bill of Minoa, New York, Dianna Doom and husband Leon of Live Oak, Florida; two brothers Kenneth Ray Busbin and wife Toni of Summerville, Georgia, Robert ''Bo'' Starr and wife Caroline of Scottsboro, Alabama; five grandchildren, Kali Rapier, Stormi Rapier, Waylon Franklin, Kristopher Franklin and Hunter Franklin as well as several other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

A Private Family Memorial Service will be held in Summerville, Georgia at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home. Online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com

saddened by the loss. My oldest brother and I didn't have a lot of time together, but there was never, ever a cross word between us. I think about y'all all the time. All our love.
