Steven H. Anderson, 61, of Mountain View, AR passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015. He was a beloved father, devoted partner, and friend. He loved fishing, nature, animals and his dogs. An avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed cooking. Steve had a great smile, sense of humor, and willing to help a friend.

Born September 30, 1953 in Rockford, IL. After graduating from Boylan High School in 1972, Steve moved to Loves Park, IL and worked in construction. He retired in 2001 and enjoyed his passion of fishing in numerous walleye fishing tournaments throughout the Midwest. In 2005 he moved to Mountain View, AR where he enjoyed the scenery and peaceful country life.

Survived by his significant other Theresa Niedermeier, daughter Natalie (Ryan) Mahaney, son Steven Anderson II, grandsons Miles and Cole Mahaney, siblings Linda Hall, Vicky Bragelman, Dennis Anderson and Brenda Anderson. Preceded in death by parents Howard and Janett Anderson. Steve will be dearly missed.

Memorial service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or gifts a donation to the Stone County Humane Society or ASPCA would be greatly appreciated.
