Alma H. Bettis, 84, of Marion, Arkansas died Friday, May 1, 2015 at Willow Bend in Marion.
Mrs. Bettis was a homemaker and a member of the West Memphis First Baptist Church
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Bettis a son Mike McElroy a daughter, Susan Jackson.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy McCullough of Hernando, MS; Lynn Marner of Reno, NV; a brother, Kenny Holmes of Southaven, MS; seventeen grandchildren, thirty five great grand -children and four great-great-grandchildren.
Grandma Bettis was always a calming presence and a loving grandmother to me as I was growing up. I will always remember her laughing softly and telling stories. I'm so sorry for your loss Lynn and Kathy, she was a strong person, and I know you two will follow in her footsteps.

I am so very sorry for this family's loss. When Justin and I were kids, he ALWAYS talked about his sweet Gramma Bettis. He loved her so very much and has been praying for her to find absolute peace. Sweet Alma is home now...

I don't know how to say how sorry I am. Grandma Bettis was the most kind loving woman I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I wish it had been better for her. She was so strong. But I'm grateful all the same. Love sincerely
