Margie Lou Street Pettersen

July 18, 1930 - April 26, 2015

Margie Lou (Street) Pettersen, 84, of Cave City, left this earth after a short illness on Sunday, April 26, 2015, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.

She was born in Cave City on July 18, 1930, and was the daughter of James Eagle and Hazel (Meacham) Street.

Margie moved from Cave City in 1951 to Napa, California where she resided with her husband and children until 2004 when she returned to Cave City. She was active in Cave City Kiwanis and was on the Board of Directors for the Bank of Cave City for several years. She was an active traveler with her son's tour company, Daytripping, of Santa Rosa, California, a member of Sharp County Historical Society, and a member of the Silver Spray Chapter of the Eastern Star in Napa. She was a member of the Cave City United Methodist Church and St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Napa.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Howard Pettersen of Cave City; daughters, Jill Pettersen of Cave City and Gina Pagan of Calamine; a son, John Pettersen of Santa Rosa, California; granddaughter, Hanna Hunter and her husband, Jordan, of Lynn; grandsons, James McDaniel and Micah McDaniel, both of Kelseyville, California; and great-grandchildren, Eli Roest-Foust and Judsyn Hunter, both of Lynn. She is also survived by a brother, James E. Street and his wife, Nannie Laura, of Batesville. Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and her four-legged companion, Jax.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Eugene Street; sister-in-law, Avondale Street; grandson, Benjamin Howard Kirkland; and a niece, Rebecca Street Beller.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Gay, Zack Baxter, Justin Beller, Isaac Street, Jordan Hunter and Bruce Street. Honorary pallbearers are Morris Street, Sam Beller, Jim Baxter, James McDaniel and Scott Street.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2015, at Cave City United Methodist Church with Bro. Roger Hook officiating. Burial will follow at Cave City Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015, at the church.
