The family also wishes to thank the members of Shell Lake Baptist Church for the endless prayers, visits, cards, and pew holding, that ensured this man kept his promise. He would have wanted to express his recognition and gratefulness for the incalculable count of men and women he worked with over the years. ''If you don't learn something everyday, you're dead.'' Memorial suggestions include, supporting Union/Organized Labor, Shell Lake Baptist Church, Arkansas ministries, work-related asbestos survivor charities, Baptist Foundation, and/or, anyone that may need a hand up.

Today marks two months. My heart remains raw. It's such an understatement to claim I miss you when what I feel constantly is so much more intense. Coffee tastes bitter without you here to share it with. I feel you and Mom at times. Thank you for looking in on me. I know I'm a mess, but I'm trying. Please share my love with everyone up there with a big hug and kiss to Mom. I love you, Dad!

He introduced me to camping, taught me how to shoot a gun, how to hunt, put up with a lot of ya, ya from me. He was a man of his word, and determined things would always be his way, even to the end. We shared a lot of coffee and conversations on the back porch. He IS the only dad I had. Will love and miss him dearly. But he will live through the things he taught me and others. And to his family, remember to rejoice in the life he had, and keep him in your heart.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all today. I will always remember the day Mr. Terry let me drive his green tractor. That was the greatest thing in the world to me that day. I had so much fun out there at their house... He will be missed by many.
