Sellie ''Ted'' Jones Jr., 80, most beloved father and husband, of Batesville, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday in his home after a battle with cancer.

He was born January 7, 1935, in Batesburg, South Carolina to Sellie T. Jones Sr. and Madelle Corder-Jones.

He was a retired Air Force Veteran who served his country proudly as a crew chief. He was a realtor in the Batesville area for several years before moving to Jacksonville, Arkansas where he worked with a retired Air Force friend of his in Little Rock. He was a musician and played the guitar beautifully. He loved country music and attended many country music shows around the Batesville Area.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Margie Gass-Jones; two daughters, Lori Williams (Charley) and Valerie Gay (Rusty) both of Batesville; two grandchildren, Kyle Lawrence (Tina) and Ashley Fields (Josh) both of Batesville; three great-grandchildren, Will Gonyer of Liberty, Indiana, Joshua Vannattan of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Gabriel Fields of Batesville; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Thornwell Wise and Gene Jones; and two sisters, Lib Smith and Dot Shealy, all of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2015, at First Church of the Nazarene in Batesville with Rev. Michael Johnson officiating. There will be no visitation.

Cremation services by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
