Van S. Jackson Jr., 67, of Sulphur Rock, Arkansas died Wednesday, April 1, 2015, in Batesville, Arkansas.

Born August 13, 1947 in Batesville, he was the son of Van S. Jackson Sr. and Muriel Brewer Jackson.

Van was a 1967 graduate of Batesville High School. He had owned and operated Tommy's Kingburger since 1973. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a member of Center Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of the North Arkansas Western Horse Association and the Arkansas Quarter Horse Association.

Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Baker and her husband, Chris, of Mayflower, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Emily and Ella Baker of Mayflower; two sisters, Jane Thompson and her husband, Olan, of Cabot, Arkansas and Lathea Carlile and her husband, Dub, of Batesville; and several nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death six months ago by his wife, the love of his life, Brenda Rider Jackson; his parents; and a sister, Anna Mae Lambert.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2015, at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with Charles Bullington and Forrest Priest officiating.

Pallbearers will be Curt Coles, Christopher Grant, Dr. Mike Hopkins, Andrew Robey, Chris Knabe and Clay Neal.

Honorary pallbearers are Lynn Cornelius, Jim Cornelius, Rick Head, Dr. J. D. Allen, Larry Price, Paul Bray and Patrick Bray.

Burial will be at Center Grove Cemetery in Charlotte under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

Becky,

Ypu and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. We were surprised and saddened to hear last week of Van's passing. I know he really missed Brenda. You have your Kappa friends if you need anything. I know your Daddy will be missed. I know we will miss seeing him when we come to town.

Dear Becky.
