Anthony ''Yogi'' Hewitt, 56, of Weiner, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born December 23, 1958 in Walnut Ridge to the late Jesse and Verna Hufford Hewitt. Yogi was a farmhand and a member of Willis Chapel Pentecostal Church. He loved singing, fishing, throwing horseshoes, spoiling his grandkids, and cooking out with family and friends.
Yogi is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include his two sons, Heath and Amanda Hewitt, and Marcus Hewitt all of Harrisburg; a daughter, Amy and Sabino Ortiz of Weiner; nine grandchildren, Destiny Hicks, Harley Hicks, April Hicks, Kendall Hicks, Emilio Ortiz, Jesse Hewitt, Ashlyn Hewitt, Kamri Hewitt and Aubri Hewitt; five sisters, Verna Mae Johnson of Ola, Geraldine Scifres of Pampa TX, Lois Guthrie of Bellville, Hellen Smith of OH, and Dolly Howard of Paragould; two brothers, Wilburn Hewitt of Weiner and Marshall Hewitt of Bellville; and his special family, Emily Cole, Hailey Hurst, Brandon Adams and Ethan Hanks.
Graveside services will be 1 pm Friday at Johnson Cemetery in Cash with Bro. Gene Bogard officiating.
Mike Hewitt, Marvin Hewitt, Eric Hewitt, Jack Guthrie, Tim Hewitt, Dennis Ingle, Bubba Greer and Dustin Hurst will serve as active pallbearers.
John French, Barry French, Wayne Clayton, Greg Greer, Don Davis, Christian Smith, Brandon Neal and Yogi's remaining family members will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro.
Lasting memorials can be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.

Yogi was a wonderful man. He put smiles on so many peoples faces. You will be missed by so many my brother , in so many different ways. There's not enough words to describe him and his love for his family and friends and the life he lived . Gona miss you Yog ! - but glad your at Home and at Peace
