Ruby Roberts, age 95, of Harrison, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Hospice of the Hills in Harrison. She was born September 10, 1919 in Olvey, Arkansas to James Andy and Pearl Davis Harris.
Ruby was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Harrison. She married J. Guy Roberts May 20, 1939 and they celebrated 57 years of marriage until his death in 1996. Ruby enjoyed embroidery, quilting, cooking and was always looking out for others. She loved and spoiled her grandchildren and she baked their favorite desserts. She had a green thumb that could make anything grow. Her church and church family she always cherished.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, son, J. Garry Roberts, sister, Lucille Young, brother, Ed Harris and sons-in-law Ron Abney and Norman Wagner.
She is survived by her two daughters: Vera Abney Wagner of Harrison and Renetta Wacaster and husband Jim of Springdale, Arkansas; daughter-in-law: Frances Roberts of Springdale; five grandchildren: Tracy Honeycutt and husband Kent, Todd Wacaster, James Roberts, Amy Whelchel and husband Les and John Roberts and wife Jennifer; three great-grandchildren: Tyler Zurga and wife Janelle, Kate Roberts and Camden Whelchel; and great-great-granddaughter, Pearl Zurga.
Funeral services was Monday, January 23, 2015 at Woodland Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Heath Kirkpatick officiating. Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation was an hour prior to the service at the church.

To Vera and family so very sorry to hear of your mothers passing, although I never really got to know her I knew from things you and Tracey has said about her how special she was,I pray that your family find peace knowing she is with your father and in the arms of our heavenly father.
