We have very fond memories of Mr. Sharp. I (Mary) taught with him at the Mountain Home School on South College. Later he and Jodie worked together for the SCS.
We moved to Bentonville in 1962 but we will never forget the people we knew when we lived in Mountain Home!!!
Hug your children, your grandchildren and your great-grandchildren and tell them we loved Mr. Sharp. You and your family are in our prayers.
Our thought are with you during this time.
Zella Jean and family:
So sorry to learn about Maurce.
He was a good man who I admired.
We were classmates at Bergman.
My sincere sympathy to the family and friends that surrounded Maurce. The best years of my career were spent working for Maurce at the Soil Conservation Service in Harrison when he was the WUC. Some of the best memories I have to this day and that was over 40 years ago. He was an exceptional man that made us all strive to equal. May he rest in peace.
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Maurce Sharp.
I was a student of Mr. Sharp in the mid 1950's at Mountain Home HS.
After all these years I still remember him as a kind and caring person,a good teacher and a real gentleman.
He had a lasting positive influence on me, and many others
My sincere condolence.
My sincere sympathy for all of you! Mr. Sharp one GREAT man! I ask if he could get me back to North Arkansas and I got the call from him to come to Searcy County as the D.C. He worked on the Bear Creek (Searcy County) lake project in 1964 and if that would have came to pass Searcy County would have good cheap water! God walked with one great man!
Maurce was a special friend to many of us at USDA. My prayer is that God will be with his family during this very difficult time.
What a good man. Of all the people that i have encountered in my life, Maurce was one of the most honest and sincere. I will miss our quiet talks together. Zellla, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Marsha, I am so sorry about the loss of your dad. He was such a wonderful person and I know how hard this is. Tell the rest of the family I am thinking about all of them and give your mama a hug for me. I'll be keeping you and your family in my prayers.
My sincere sympathy to the family for losing such a wonderful man. He helped me start my career, helped me buy my house and always seemed happy to hear from me (which wasn't often enough). I am so fortunate to have known him.
Our days with the Sharp family are so memorable because of the love and friendship that Maurce and Zella had for neighbors and all who knew them. Maurce will be missed but remembered for the caring concerns that he had for others in his daily Christian life. Rest now, dear friend.
I would like to extend my sympathy to the Sharp family. Mr. Sharp had a great influence on my life, as well as all those he taught at MHHS.
Thinking of you!
Maurce was such as kind, loving, wonderful father and husband. I've always said I wanted him to be my dad too while growing up. He was a walking/talking example of what a Christian should be.
My sympathy is extended to the Sharp family. Mr. Sharp was an inspiration to many of us during his days at MHHS. His influence guided me to follow in his footsteps and pursue vocational agriculture teaching and then with the USDA.
Know that you are all surrounded by our thoughts and prayers in this time of sorrow.
sorry to hear about Mr.Sharp.May the Lord bless all the family.
Very sad hearing about Mr. Sharp but the angels received a new choir member. What wonderful memories all of you have to remember and share. We are praying for comfort to help you during this time.
I wish to send condolence to the family. class of 1960 I often remember those days in class with fond memories.
I was so very sorry to hear of Maurces passing. He was my Ag teacher in Mountain Home in 1955. I was inspired by him and continued to be through the many years since. I lived outside of Zinc for many years after retiring from the Air Force and saw him occasionally. We spoke on the phone sometimes. Last June it was my great pleasure to have him accompany me to the Mtn Home High School Reunion. We had a wonderful visit that day. Although I did not see him as much as I would have liked, I liked and respected him very much. He was a good man and a good friend. I will miss him. R.I.P. Old Friend. Clinton Pittaway
Prayers for peace and comfort during this time.
