Catherine Leola Mallett, age 91, of Harrison, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at Highlands of Harrison Orendorff. She was born February 10, 1923, in Ridgeway, Arkansas, the daughter of James Harland and Ruby Lee (Rainer) Rea. Along with her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Nathan Mallett; her sister, Trellis Lott; her grandson, Jody Goodall; and her granddaughter, Rachel Curtis.
Catherine was a member of the Church of Christ. She married Joseph Mallett February 12, 1949. She was a wonderful momma, school cook, and babysitter.
Catherine is survived by her sons, J. N. Mallett, Mike Mallett, Charles Mallett and Bennie Mallett; her daughters, Cathy Wray and Wileen Curtis; her sister, Deno Smith; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation was Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service was Friday, February 6, 2015, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Terry Frizzell officiating.
Interment was in Hill Top Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gregg Mallett, Michael Mallett, Justin Mallett, Jason Mallett, Carson Curtis, Tucker Mallett, Blake Seals and Casey Campbell.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Highlands of Harrison Orendorff.

Sorry to hear of Katie' s passing. I have many fond memories of Katie and her family, how she let me carry her babies, even after I dropped Mike.

Katie was loved and respected by all the students and teachers at Forest Heights School. She was a lovely lady who was always cheerful, and greeted you with a smile. You ,in her family, were blessed to have her in your lives so many years. My sympathy to all the family in your great loss. I was fortunate to have some of her grandchildren in my class...Kari, and Miranda, I am especially thinking of you.
My prayers are with all the family. I remember so well living across the road from them and Joe and I sparing and Katie just looking on and enjoying it all. What memories!! She will be missed. God Bless each of you.
