Wade Wheeler, age 57, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at Helena, Arkansas. Mr. Wheeler was born March 31, 1957 at Helena to J.O. Wheeler, Jr. and the late Joel Margaret ''Sissy'' McGrew Wheeler.
He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Gaston (Rob) of Centerton, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Landon, Luke and Peyton Gaston, all of Centerton; his father, J.O. Wheeler of West Helena ; sister, Karen Stokes of Rogers, Arkansas; and girlfriend, Angela Funk of West Helena.
He was preceded in death by his mother, ''Sissy'' Wheeler; and grandparents, Lula Beatrice and J.O. Wheeler, Sr.
A service for Wade Wheeler will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Brother Randy Williamson will officiate.
Pallbearers are Michael Reyna, John Stiedle, Rob Gaston, Chris Funk, Arnie Fraze, Warren McGrew, Mike Green and Lyle Wheeler. Honorary pallbearers are Ernest ''Gene'' Murph, Jack Lewis, Frankie Stokes and Buddy Wheeler.
Memorials may be made to Grace Point Church for Missions, 1201 McCollum Drive, Bentonville, Arkansas 72712.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

I am sorry to hear this sad news. Wade was best friends with my boyfriend and he was the most amazing white boy lol we loved him like a brother and he always had that happy easy going way that made you feel comfortable. Well we got married move away and life move on bit old friends are never forgotten RIP Wadeâ¤ï¸

We are saddened that Wade is gone from us ,but glad that he has gone on to a better place. The Wade family is in our thoughts and prayers.
wade ole buddy we sure had a lot of fun & laughs together we would always get to school about the same time & sit on car hoods & talk & laugh then we would meet on cherry street and sit on hoods & talk & laugh again & then figure were to go eat you were always hungry you also taught me how to play ping pong & you were the best at it "I think" mr jo ,Karen & Jamie, Wade was a very special friend to me he called me a couple month ago & said he bought a new combine & said he sure wished I was still there to help him with learning how to run this new combine but I knew it wouldn't take long for him to figure it out & he called back & said he got it going will miss u wade lots of love brian & rita ketchum & kids

Jamie-I am so sorry to hear about your dad!!! I literally just found out and I am in complete shock!!! I will never forget all of the times riding my bike up the street to your house to play and your dad being home and acting just like one of us kiddos!!!! He definitely loved him some Jamie! Jamie, Karen and Mr. J O. I am so saden for the loss of your father, brother and son. I pray for you all every day. You'll have been an extended family to me and Wade was like a brother to me. Our lives goes in so many different directions as we get older. Always know I love you all.
As an impressionable youth at Barton School, I remember meeting Wade for the first time and thinking,"Wow, I want to be like that guy". Wade was just that kind of person. Although we didn't run in the same circles, I never forgot that first meeting or the impression he made on my young life. To all of his family, I am truly saddened by your loss. Wade was my classmate, 1975, and I was looking forward to seeing and visiting with him at our 50th reunion this year. My heart is very heavy as we have lost another classmate. My prayers are that you will remember the great times you had with Wade. Remain prayerful and keep the faith. He is gone but will never be forgotten. RIP Wade Wheeler, gone too soon!

Sorry to hear about Wade. I really thought a lot of him. He was loved by many and I pray the family will take some comfort in knowing that he was loved by so many. Prayers for the family at this time.
Karen, I'm so very sorry for your pain. I will always remember Wade as a sweet, gentle, giving, & caring man.
