Janice Anita (Holifield) Qualls, 67, of Piggott, passed away January 10, 2015 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. She was born on October 20, 1947 in Piggott, Arkansas and was the daughter of William Newton Holifield and Exie (Nelson) Holifield.
Janice was devoted in her Christian faith and loved singing in the choir.
She was united in marriage to Eubert Randle Qualls on July 7, 1973, and to this union one son was born.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; one son, William Taylor (Billy) Qualls; a step-son, Eubert Randle Qualls, Jr.; and a step-daughter, Diana Kay Qualls.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Qualls; daughter, Melissa (Holifield) Haley and her husband Mike, of St. Francis; and her granddaughter Michelle Haley. She is also survived by her sister, Regina Williams and her husband Jim, of Waverly, TN; a niece, Jessica Hightower and husband John, of Martin, TN; a great niece and great nephew, Alexandria Crosser and Matthew Hightower, also of Martin, TN; along with many other friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be at the First United Methodist Church in Piggott, at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 13, with Rev. J. Anthony Holifield officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 pm before the service.
Pallbearers will be Elmo Hollis, John Harmon, Ron Fithian, Bill Veal, David Gregory, and David Hill. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Haley, John Hightower, Barry Whaley, Tony Rhynes, Timothy Williamson, Rob Holifield, Nathan Shelton, Kevin Jones, Barry DeHart, Daniel Gossett and Travis Gossett.
Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector, Arkansas following the service. Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church in Piggott or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Janice became our touchstone for the Piggott High School class of l965. She had a generous, loving spirit and shared so much of herself in communicating with many of us in so many ways. She blessed our lives and our hearts. We will miss her very much. My condolences to all those member of her family.
