Ms. Barnes was a true humanitarian. For years, she volunteered many hours annually serving on the Legal Aid of Arkansas Board of Directors. Her attendance and accountability were second to none, and she was always willing to put in extra time serving on committees and as a board officer. The board of directors, staff, and clients at Legal Aid of Arkansas are very saddened by this loss. Ms. Barnes always took interest in the welfare of the Legal Aid staff, and when my father passed away two years ago, she was the first to send me a heartfelt note of condolence. She will be missed.

Jo Ruth. was a very special niece to me ,she always saw to it that I was dressed well and in good company when we were high school seniors.
As she began her higher education at enid Okla. we still were in close comunication , but as our lives took different directions we visited less.
But there will always be a special place in my heart for Jo Ruth: Uncle Charles

Our loss is heaven's gain. Jo Ruth was in my graduation class of 1955, a very quiet, studious
person, always showing kindness to everyone.

Sincere condolences to all of you.

Jo will be missed by our Eagle Heights Baptist Church family. Her faith in adversity has been a testimony of her love for our LORD. The joy of the LORD has been her strength, visible for all to see in the radiance she exuded, her source supernatural and abundant. Until we see you again, Jo! We love you.
