Robert Thomas Gimbel, 83 of Damascus, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, December 31, 2014. He was born April 2, 1931 in Hazelton, ND to the late Theophil and Barbara Mitzel Gimbel.
Mr. Gimbel was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and had a passion for cattle farming. He is preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Granger Stokenbury; two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife: Bonnie Webb Gimbel; daughters: Linda Lindsey and husband Mickey, Brenda Gay and husband Dwayne, Laura Ausbrooks and husband Philip; 5 grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister: Annetha Haid and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with service to follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Lloyd Cemetery.
Bonnie and family, So sorry to hear about Bob. Praying for all of you during this difficult time. Bob was a good man. Always look to the good memories you have made with him.
We are so sorry we were not there for you. We can see Bob & Bonnie's house from ours but only found out today of Bob's passing. We have always liked Bob. He was a good man with a big heart. We will sure miss him riding the roads in his 4-wheelers. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this time of sorrow. May God's loving arms carry you during this time.
