Pauline Maye Moore

of Mountain View, AR

November 15, 1922 - November 26, 2014

Pauline Maye Morrison Moore, 92, of Mtn. View, passed away November 26, 2014. She was born November 15, 1922 at Alco, Arkansas to Onis and Pearl (Sutterfield) Morrison. Pauline grew up on a farm with her four brothers. After reaching adulthood and moving to the Pleasant Hill Community she met and married the love of her life, Woodrow Moore on September 14, 1940. After marriage she joined her husband in a farming operation in the Pleasant Hill Community. While living there a son, Wayne, daughters, Jane and Phyllis were born, and later moving to Timbo and buying a farm there, a fourth child, daughter, Mavis was born. The Moore family lived in the Timbo area until the children reached adulthood and Woodrow passed away at an early age. Pauline sold the family farm and moved to Mountain View to be near her elderly parents. Pauline lived in Mountain View until her passing. She worked as a department store clerk until retirement age and settled in her cozy little home until her passing. After retirement she took up art as a hobby and became very polished as an amateur artist. Besides art, her other love was being around her children and grandchildren which seemed to be her greatest passion.
Pauline accepted Christ at an early age and was a long time member of Blue Mountain Missionary Baptist Church at Timbo, Arkansas until her passing.
She is survived by four children, a son, Wayne Moore (Wilma); three daughters, Jane Freeze (Larry), Phyllis Holt, and Mavis Canard (Bill); five grandchildren, Delana Moore, Todd Canard, Woodonna Carrales, Valarie Downs, and Mickey Freeze; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, loving family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Woodrow; parents, Onis and Pearl Morrison; four brothers, Thurlow, Afton, Leon, and Bill; and a very special granddaughter, Melody Freeze.
The visitation will take place on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2014, 2:00PM at Blue Mountain Missionary Baptist Church in Timbo, Arkansas with Brother Daryl Pitts and Brother Junior Barham officiating. Interment will be at Blue Mountain Cemetery also at Timbo, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Max Berry, Sam Berry, Mickey Freeze, Todd Canard, Tommy Ivy, and Terry Morrison. Honorary pallbearers are Toby Canard, Kolby Canard, Trevor Downs, Amber Foreman, and Katelynn Carrales.
The family suggest memorials be made to the Blue Mountain Cemetery Fund, Timbo, Arkansas or a charity of their choice.
