Randy Brush, 58, of Sulphur Rock, Arkansas, died Sunday, November 16, 2014, at his home.
Born February 27, 1956, in Florida, he was the son of Daniel Brush and Marlowe Quick Brush.
He served in the US Air Force during the Viet Nam Era. He was a local musician and music teacher. He was also a member and percussionist for the Observatory Jazz Quartet.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Hinds-Brush of Sulphur Rock; a son, Zachary Bedingfield of Florida; his mother Marlowe Brush of California; a sister, Susan Carter of California; a niece, Stacy Heger of California; two nephews, Bobby Heger and Cameron Carter, both of California; his mother and father-in-law, Ernie and Carolyn Hinds of California; and a sister-in-law, Tracie Hinds of California.
He was preceded in death by his father.
There will be a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2014, at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with Tom Massey officiating.
I am heartbroken that Randy is gone. He was one of the most beautiful people I've known and will be my BFF forever.

I too met Randy while traveling with UWP...I found him to be a fun loving, great human being. I read about his accomplishments throughout the years and was proud to have known him. I will pray for your family's strength through this difficult time. God bless you all.
Kim, I'm so glad I had the opportunity to meet and spend some time with Randy. He was a unique and charismatic person and the world is alway diminished a little when someone like Randy leaves it.

Randy was such a cool guy. Met him in Up With People and really enjoyed his music and views on life. Watching the last few years n Facebook was a real gift. He had such a wonderful attitude.
I, too, got to know Randy through traveling with him in Up With People. He was a very uniquely talented individual and a good friend to many who will miss him greatly. Our prayers go out to and his family. Lord Bless and comfort you...
