I went to Opal's funeral but wanted to say a few words about what a fine lady she was. We met at church, and I will always remember her smile and those beautiful eyes and her lady-like ways. She attended even after she needed help to walk. People like that are an inspiration to others. Some people say "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree." That's true in this family. Her son Lynn and his family have been dear friends of ours more than forty years. Lynn and Helen spent countless hours doing good for others and Kelly is following in their footsteps. Peace to all the family. Opal's trials are over.

Janet,
I am sorry to hear of your Mother's passing;
we know they are in a far better place, but it is still hard to say "Goodbye" to someone who has loved us so long and so well. Mothers are among God's greatest gifts and totally irreplaceable.

What a wonderful woman Opal was! She always made a person feel better just speaking to her with her sweet, quiet personality. We have lost a loved one, but heaven has gained one. Prayers and thoughts to the family.
A sharp mind, a sweet soul, and pure class. We will always miss your warm smiles and engaging conversations. With all our love we will always remember you. Your beauty and blue eyes live on in your great grandchildren.
