You sweet lady, you were a precious angel in the life of my son, Gavin. I had no idea you were at SCNH. My daddy lived there for a little over a year so I was there nearly every day or so from 5/13-08/14. You saw the magic in Gavin that first grade year when very few folks understood. And you were right....he grew up to be a wonderful, loving young man. He works for Roller now and may be able to come home for your service. Love always, Gavin's mom

Joan and I were first cousins. My childhood memories are peppered with visits to her home and days she brought me along to her school. As adults we shared long distance conversations that never faltered but held steady in the tapestry of our shared family and love. She is precious to me. Many prayers for God's grace and comfort for her family. Love.

I had the pleasure of teaching in the same room with Joan for many years. She and I had a wonderful time and she taught me so much about human nature. She was one of the smartest, kindest people I have ever known. She loved her family deeply and had many friends here in Rector. I am so sad to learn of her illness and passing. She will be missed. Please accept my condolences.

Joan was a wonderful woman who always made you smile. I remember us laughing over some cute thing that one of her students had said or done. She loved her students and cared for their well-being. I have been blessed to know Mrs. Rainbolt. My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you face the days ahead without her. Glenda Hershberger
